I visited Sicily earlier this year.
Beautiful island with amazing architecture and delicious food – but what has stuck in my mind the most was the roads.
There were closed roads everywhere.
At first I assumed they were being repaired.
Then we drove along a viaduct and spotted another road running alongside us – also on a viaduct – that simply stopped in mid-air.
Like someone had just… walked away from it.
The Quiet Killer of Law Firm Progress
A local told me: “In Sicily, we often start building things but don’t finish them.”
And as I looked around, I started noticing unfinished roads everywhere.
Here’s what I realised: those roads might be 90% complete.
But 90% done is still 0% useful.
Nobody can drive on an unfinished road (especially one that ends in mid-air!).
I see the same thing happening in law firms every week.
Owners start five marketing projects, three profit-improvement initiatives, and a new client onboarding system – all at once.
Ninety days later, none of them is finished. And none of them is bringing results.
The Approach That Doubled One Firm’s Fee Income in 12 Months
In my Freedom Firm Architecture™ work with clients, one of the first things we do is identify which single project – when finished and deployed – will have the biggest impact on their 7 Profit Zones.
Then we finish it. Properly.
That’s how Anthony doubled his firm’s fee income in 12 months.
And how Gina generated £12k in a week from a single email to 20 past clients.
One project. Done. Results.
So here’s a question for you: what’s the one project in your firm that, if you actually finished it, would make the biggest difference to your profits or your freedom?
Start there. Finish that. Then move to the next.
Action changes things. But only when it’s completed action.
Take Action
If you’d like help to identify which project to prioritise – and build a clear plan to finish it – join me at my upcoming ‘Freedom Firm Blueprint’ Masterclass on 15th October. During this free online masterclass, I’ll help you identify where the biggest opportunities are in your firm, decide what you should focus on first, and create a practical plan to turn those opportunities into increased profits and more freedom, rather than adding yet more unfinished projects to your list.
